Okay, hi. We’re back. And wow, do we have some catching up to do.
If you’ve been here for a while, you know that Dreamers on the Go has always been about chasing adventure, finding the best bites in every city, and documenting this wild, beautiful life we’ve built together. From bamboo rafting in Jamaica, bridge climbing and diving the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, and hiking trails from Lord of the Rings and flying over glaciers, rainforests, and fjords in New Zealand to impromptu flights to Disney World, Ireland, and Scotland, this little corner of the internet has been our place to capture the moments that really matter – even if life has gotten so hectic that we are drastically behind on posting our most recent adventures.
Well, nine months ago, everything got a whole lot more meaningful.
We welcomed our sweet baby O into the world — and just like that, the journey we love so much took on a brand new dimension. Suddenly we weren’t just two people with a packed carry-on and a list of must visit restaurants. We were parents. Parents who still very much want to eat at incredible restaurants and explore new places, but who are now doing it with a diaper bag, a stroller, and a million more things to remember before leaving the house.
From Two Explorers to a Family of Three
Honestly? We knew we would still travel, but when and how different will it be? Would we still find those hidden gem restaurants that make you feel like you stumbled onto a secret? Would we still be able to go on spur of the moment adventures? Would we still be us?
The answer is yes — just a new version of us, and we think it might be the best version yet!
We’re figuring out how to navigate airports with a kiddo in tow (spoiler: it’s an adventure in itself), discovering which restaurants are actually family-friendly without sacrificing good food, and learning to slow down and soak in the small moments — like a quiet morning at home with tea (or coffee in Russ’s case) and a baby who’s got the biggest personality and brightest smile around.
Baby O has already shown us that adventure doesn’t stop when you become a parent. It just evolves.
Why This Space Is Growing With Us
This blog has always been written by both of us — Lindsey and Russ — and now it reflects all three of us. You’ll still find everything you came here for: honest travel experiences, real food recommendations, and destination inspiration that actually gets you excited to book a trip.
But now you’ll also get the full picture — traveling as new parents, family-friendly trip ideas, the food finds that still feel special even when you’re running on interrupted sleep, and the products and gear we’ve actually tried and genuinely love. We’re not going to recommend anything we wouldn’t use ourselves. That’s always been our thing, and it’s not changing.
A quick heads up: some of our links are affiliate links, which means if you purchase something through them, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. It’s one of the ways we keep this blog going and keep getting out there to bring you new content. We appreciate every single click and purchase more than you know.
Our Promise to You
Whether you’re here for your next trip idea, a restaurant recommendation, or just to see how we’re navigating this wild new chapter of parenthood without giving up the things we love — we are so glad you’re here.
This season of life is all about balance. Wanderlust and bedtime routines. Date nights and baby-friendly brunches. Packing cubes and diaper bags. And honestly? We wouldn’t trade any of it.
Thank you for sticking with us, for cheering us on, and for being part of the Dreamers family. We can’t wait to share what’s coming next — now with a few tiny footprints in the mix.
